Today's Topic: From Isolation To Connection
"Our disease isolated us... Hostile, resentful, self-centered, and self-seeking, we cut ourselves off from the outside world."
Basic Text...
Meaning: As we all know that addiction is a diseases and we are suffering from it and during the diseases we are being so selfish as the diseases made us damn selfish we just see us and our addiction and our substance or we say our choice of drug we do anything to get our substitute we stole thing, we hurt our relatives, family or friends, we started working anything which even not worthy for us we just need our addiction we have no place to reside we are not living in the world only we see two things us and our drugs and how we get to know about it when we come in Rehabilitation, nasha mukti center or nasha mukti kendra after spending few days here we felt that we are being so selfish in using that we do a lot of things which are not meant to be done by us if we are not in using we feel ashamed but are we feeling same while doing those things nah I don't feel really.
Narration:
Addiction is an isolating disease, closing us off from society, family, and self. We hid. We lied. We scorned the lives we saw others living, surely beyond our grasp. Worst of all, we told ourselves there was nothing wrong with us, even though we knew we were desperately ill. Our connection with the world, and with reality itself, was severed. Our lives lost meaning, and we withdrew further and further from reality.
In Simple Words: In addiction we just thing that we are right and nothing is wrong with us we are doing absolutely right there in nothing in hurting anyone nothing is bad in stealing someone belonging nothing is bad in cheating someone and nothing is meaning in being mean but does it true no this all is what we can do on the worse level we didn't feel emotion in using and hurt anyone without any thought click on our mind we just think about ourselves but as we came into treatment in nasha mukti center and nasha mukti kendra we get time to think what we had done until and we started thinking deeply and after few days we started realizing that we did worst to others either with our selves we didn't even thought about ourselves as addiction is eating us as well addiction is known as slow poison if we all know .and we just get to the mirror where we face the reality and felt bad for all things we had done but what to do now we take pledge to do something productive in future.
Narration:
The NA program is designed especially for people like us. It helps reconnect us to the life we were meant to live, drawing us out of our isolation. We stop lying to ourselves about our condition; we admit our powerlessness and the unmanageability of our lives. We develop faith that our lives can improve, that recovery is possible, and that happiness is not permanently beyond our grasp. We get honest; we stop hiding; we "show up and tell the truth," no matter what. And as we do, we establish the ties that connect our individual lives to the larger life around us.
In Simple Words: The Narcotics Anonymous Program Specially Made For People Like Us. who get self centered and doesn't think about our surrounding the program teach us 12 steps about which i talked in my other blogs so what program do for us it teaches us a lot like it helps us to get reconnect to the world and taking us out of the hell world of isolation there in Program we learned acceptance that we spoiled our and others life who belong to us and we have to do something for them and ourselves. firstly we develop faith on ourselves and start doing things which helps us in changing the way live and treating things as they have to be treated and we just learned that happiness not remain permanent we have to face up and downs every time and we have to be strong and keep our faith on some power whoever we beleive.
Beautiful Message For Today
I am a part of the life around me. I will practice my program to strengthen my connection to my world.\
